Church Garden Jan/Feb Harvesting

Well, I added a new page to my blog for my church garden pictures, and then found out that I cannot post new “posts” there – So, instead I have added a new Category – Church Garden – for these updates.

So, here we go…. since I haven’t posted anything about the garden really, I am posting the pictures I took back in January/February and will have additional posts for each group of new pictures.

First up – Broccoli –  We let the broccoli continue to grow after the first harvesting, and each time we get smaller and smaller “heads” of broccoli, but you get more “heads” per plant.  I find these much more tender and a bit sweeter than the first harvest.

Next up – Beets – I’m not a big fan of beets, and apparently neither are the folks who visit the church’s food bank, but aren’t the pretty?

Cabbage anyone?

We have a hot pepper plant that yields these tiny peppers that are HOT HOT HOT.  They are very popular with the church food bank patrons.
